Who we are
NextMoveSim is a sole trader business in Brisbane, Australia. Our ABN is on every invoice. Contact us at info@nextmovesim.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Free plays. Your first play needs nothing from you. For your second, you give an email address and we send a 6-digit code to check it. We keep the email, which scenarios you opened, and when. If you tick "Send me new scenarios", we keep that too.
- Your internet connection. To stop free plays being farmed and forms being spammed, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your connection's address, which can't be turned back into the address. We don't store the address itself, though our host's own logs may record it briefly.
- Purchases. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own page. We never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email, what you bought and, if you add them, your company name and ABN for the invoice. We keep your access code and order.
- Typed answers. In some scenarios you write your own reply. That text is sent to an AI provider to be scored, and we keep it for 30 days without your name, to improve the scoring. Don't put personal or confidential details in your answers.
- Forms you fill in. Custom simulation requests (name, work email, organisation, what you want built), feedback, the name you add to a certificate, and the email you give for the free interview tips (plus whether you asked to hear when interview preparation opens).
- In your browser. Your progress, scores and certificate name are saved in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off. They stay on your device. The site uses one sign-in cookie that remembers which scenarios you can open. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies of our own.
- Visit statistics. We use a website analytics service to count visits and see which pages, scenarios and offers people use, and whether our ads lead to plays or purchases. It sets cookies and receives your browser type, rough location (city level), the page you viewed and where you came from. We send page addresses without access codes or order details, and we've turned off Google's advertising and audience features. You can block it in your browser's cookie settings or with a tracking blocker, and the site still works.
- Anonymous scores. To show "better than X% of players", we keep a count of scores with no names, emails or addresses attached.
How we use it
- To give you your free plays, your purchases and your access code.
- To send the emails you need: your sign-in code, receipt, invoice and download links.
- To reply to your request or feedback.
- To email you about new scenarios, only if you said yes. Every such email lets you unsubscribe, or you can reply "stop" at any time.
- To prevent abuse of the free plays and the forms.
- To see how the site is used, and whether our advertising works.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers below, which handle it for us. Ask us if you'd like to know who they are.
Who handles it for us
- Website hosting: hosts the site and stores our records (United States).
- Stripe takes payments and raises invoices (Australia and other countries).
- Email delivery: sends our emails (servers in Japan and the United States).
- Visit statistics: counts visits and measures our advertising (United States).
- Answer scoring: an AI service scores typed answers (United States). Under its commercial terms, it doesn't use them to train its models.
Some of these services store information outside Australia. We use them because they protect data to a high standard, but overseas laws may differ from Australia's.
How long we keep it
Typed answers: 30 days. Hashed connection records count for 30 days. Orders and invoices: as long as tax law requires (five years). Free-play records, requests and feedback: until you ask us to delete them.
See, correct or delete your information
Email info@nextmovesim.com.au from the address you used and tell us what you'd like. We'll reply within 30 days. Deleting a free-play record means your free plays start again only if our limits allow it, and deleting a purchase record means we can no longer restore your access code.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version goes here with a new date.
